Sharing photos on Facebook seems easy – with the click of a button you can share your company’s latest promotion or remind your friends you’re enjoying a vacation. But it can get complicated when your favorite part of the image doesn’t show up on your ‘wall.’ Let’s take a quick look at the specifics of posting your Facebook photos. All photos shared on your Facebook wall are displayed as a 403 x 403 pixel square image on your wall. But what happens if your image isn’t that ideal size? If you upload a horizontal photo at 403 pixels wide, it will be shown in its entirety. However, a horizontally wider photo will have the edges cropped off. A vertically wider photo will get cropped top and bottom into a square shape. On the other hand, if your photo is less than 403 x 403 pixels wide either way, Facebook will automatically size it up for you.
