Are you not getting the results you want on Twitter? Let’s say you’ve read the blogs and watched the videos on how to get favorites and followers, but you’re still not getting the needed engagement. This probably means that you are well educated with the ‘what’ and not so much with the ‘when.’ What does this mean?
• Time matters Although broad, the Tweets with the most engagement are posted on the weekends between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.
• Get to the point Tweets that are less than 100 characters are more popular than lengthy posts. Try to say what you need to say with the least amount of characters.
• Just the right amount of hashtags It’s a good idea to try and stick to 2 hashtags per tweet. Engagement improves with the right amount of hashtags, and decreases if too many are used.
• Be clear with what you want Try asking for a retweet from your followers. No, it’s not begging – and it will improve your engagement. Try it out.
