For a lot of businesses, branding can be a tough concept to tackle. Take risks throughout your materials – this will give you the opportunity to build a solid and diverse foundation of things you can use in multiple ways. When you’re producing many different materials, you’ll be forced to experiment to see what works well for which medium. If your business has done a good job establishing a strong voice, you’ll be well-informed about how to make new and interesting decisions that still fit within your voice.
If you’re producing a lot of different materials, harping on the same couple of ideas within your brand can get boring quickly. So don’t be afraid to get creative! Think outside the box. Maybe replace words like “contest” and “winner” with even stronger descriptors like “competition” and “champion.”
Even when your business seems to be doing everything right, sometimes you’ll run into problems. Maybe you pick a less than exciting newsletter image or slap on a brochure graphic that just doesn’t fit. That’s okay. It happens. What really matters is that you hop right back up and are even more intentional when planning your next group of materials.
